I'm disappointed that the Aliens lost in the Worldbuilding Showdown challenge at the beginning of September. I wasn't sure what to write about for the Legends of the Dragonguard world, but it just so happened that I started a new world that week!

That’s right! I’ve got a new world! It’s a dystopian cyberfantasy hellscape world that features unique things, such as the Bitwise Shifters that I wrote for the Elves vs. Aliens challenge.

I was messing around in my test world one night, thinking about redesigning the Dragonguard homepage. I renamed the world to something that was more fun than “Null Test” and gave it the name /dev/null. I like computer-related things and find the concept of null interesting. (if my username wasn’t obvious enough)

/dev/null, also called Null Device, is a device file that discards all data written to it but reports that the write operation succeeded. I had ideas come to mind when I renamed the world, and, with a little CSS later, I now have a rough foundation for my world!

Now these posts are labeled as Dragonguard Progress Reports, so I may or may not log worldbuilding updates from the other world in here. I haven’t decided. However, that world does have its own changelog, though I did it a little differently than LotD. I used a discussion board, so you guys can comment on each “version”!

In Dragonguard news, my storyteller friends have given me feedback on my world. So, things have updated, such as the menubar on the side. I removed the repeating menu item with the same name as the spoiler button and grouped some items together.

Also, I’ve received my Blue Mission from Blue Fairy 74, so I’ll be revising some out-of-date articles in each of the main categories over the next year. :)

Oh, and now that I have more than one world, I’ve also created a hub world! I’ve decided to also put all WA event stuff on this world, so it will no longer be on the Legends of the Dragonguard world. I’ve also decided to move my “Community Highlight” to this world, too, in addition to most technical stuff I had on the LotD world, and archived things.

Right now, I’ve got my Spooktober 2025 article up! :)

If you have joined the “Event Updates” subgroup on the Dragonguard world, you can now follow my hub world to receive event updates, as I will no longer be using that subgroup.

Summer Reading is over! It was a blast reading your articles! “Title” is probably not a very popular article type people like to write about, but I saw many unique and interesting titles and honors for the prompt I was judging. :)

In case you missed the livestream that concluded the Summer Reading event and announced the winners of the prompts, the winner I chose for my title prompt was The Emberhand by Jaxon Lee Rose!

The Emberhand is a short and sweet article, in which I particularly enjoyed how it fostered a sense of community and the symbolism reflected in its name. It is a clean, well-written article that, although being an experimental role, demonstrates how even inconspicuous positions can carry great responsibility.

Congrats to all the winners, and I hope you all had a great Summer Camp!

And a NEW challenge approaches for September! First-ever Worldbuilding Showdown on World Anvil: Elves vs Aliens!

On a side note, a few Anvilite friends have been adding each other into their worlds. I already had a few of them in my world, but I never kept a list of who had me in their worlds.

So, to give appreciation to those who wanted to add silly ol' me into their worlds, I created a page listing these articles. A few other Anvilites followed suit as well.

Can’t believe it's been one year of DPR reports!! And, Summer Camp is just about over, so it's time to read everyone’s submissions.

I didn’t make my goal of silver for this year’s Summer Camp, but I did at least get copper, so I’m happy with that.

I also started featuring other Anvilite’s work that I like on my world’s homepage (and discord), every Tuesday I’ll pick a new thing to feature, and write a little blurb about it and what I liked (I did forget one week because it was a day before I left for a family reunion).

Summer Camp is here! And it’s my first time being a sponsor! (You’ll see later)

Inspired by Demongrey's article in his world, The Million Islands, I thought it was neat to highlight the community's favorite articles, so I did the same, with the addition of my personal favorites.

I also tweaked my homepage a little during the Summer Camp prep. I now have a featured section at the bottom, just above the community section. :smile: About every week or so, or when I remember to, I’ll feature a new article I like from the community! I wanted to give some love back to the community.

Oh boy, Summer Camp is coming! The preparations for it are happening right now :slight_smile:

I’m pledging to achieve the Silver Badge as I have several things going on in July. Hopefully, the laptop I ordered will arrive in time.

Asmo hosted a fun little challenge last month, Dip a Toe In, to write an article that could exist in the world of another World Anvil member. Inspired by BlueFairy74's Dragon's Hoard board game, I created a dragon-themed card game called Scourge War.
