just saw this mayterial thing going on, and i know it's supposed to be an article per week, but i thought i should at least give myself some amount of urgency because that seems quite effective at waking me up.
here's my week 1 article. it's very rough, and i'll be updating it some more, but i feel it's sufficeintly revived my energy for me to find my footing again.

I finished the May-terial challenge!
This challenge was amazing for me!
The four prompts Stormbril came up with were so creative and inspiring, that I couldn’t resist writing something for all of them! The best part is, I got to explore and create in both of my worlds! <3
There are still two days left to dive in, and I highly recommend jumping on these prompts if you haven’t already! Trust me, it’s a blast!

Halfway there with #Mayterial, with two entries! If you've not already checked out May-terial, an unofficial challenge ran by Stormbril, an absolute legendary award-winning worldbuilder, you definitely should! Still some time to get in an entry or two.
Mantisite is an incredible dangerous rainbow goop found beneath the seabed of ocean planet Hothiri. It is vengeful, angry, and animalistic, with reality-warping abilities.
And the big supervillains of the Yonderverse just learned how to weaponise it.
And on the other side of the spectrum is vita! A neon pink healing liquid used by vitamancers. It has a wide range of uses, all boiling down to 'healing'. Try some de-ageing cream, an energy drink that regrows your hair, a healing potion to cure cat scratches, or feed your supermassive bio-ship!
